Sephora skin balancing and mattifying grey clay mask review
Come summers and me and clay masks are inseparable. I always end up trying 2-3 new masks in this type of season and this one is no different. Today, I’m reviewing an awesome mask by Sephora! The brand has different versions suited for different skin concerns. I picked this one.
Product description:
A mask enriched with grey clay and extracts of geranium of natural origin:
– Removes excess sebum.
– Instantly mattifies the skin.
– For skin that is clean, clear and fresh.
My experience with Sephora skin balancing and mattifying grey clay mask:
As you can see, it comes in a medium-sized pouch like packaging but with a cap too. You unscrew it to dispense the product which I find neat as well as hygienic. This also ensure that the product inside doesn’t dry out. A travel-friendly packaging, I must say.
The mask is grey in colour and has tiny sandy particles in it. They don’t feel rough at all and wash off easily. The first thing I noticed while applying the mask was the heavenly scent! It was too good, too relaxing that I was afraid that it might cause breakouts on my skin however nothing of that sort happened.

The instructions specially mention that the mask won’t dry off completely and you’re supposed to leave it on for 15 minutes. I do the same. Sometimes, the duration gets extended by five minutes or so. However, the mask is still a bit wet to touch. After that, I wet my face, massage it a bit and then, wash it off.
I like this mask a lot. It not just calms me because of the beautiful scent but also calms the redness on my face. I also applied it on days when I could some pimples erupting beneath the surface of my skin. Next day, they looked suppressed. Also, it doesn’t leave my skin feeling tight. I do follow up with a moisturizer but twice, I didn’t and my skin felt still alright.
Though the package says that you get 4 uses out of it, I got 7 uses out of it! Yep! That’s because thin consistency does the job well and a little goes a long way.

In spite of the scent relaxing me, I do wish it was scent-free.
