Blue Heaven diamond blush on: Review, swatches

Blue Heaven diamond blush on review

cheap powder blushes India

After having a good experience with its lipsticks, especially mintz glossy lipsticks, I decided to try the blushers also for you guys.

There’s no product description given for the blush on. I bought all six shades available on Amazon as the delivery was free for prime members. At a price of Rs.125 each, I figured they couldn’t harm my wallet much.

Let’s start with the packaging!

Blue Heaven diamond blush on comes in a round plastic black compact-like packaging. The lid is transparent so that you can see the shade without opening it. The brand name is etched around it. I’m not sure about the durability of the plastic but it’s best that you handle them carefully lest you drop them somewhere and they shatter.

I was surprised to see that the brand also included a powder puff with each blush. I remember having used one in rare cases (Desperate cases when I had no access to a brush). In fact, you can actually use to apply it. The reason being they are hardly pigmented in the first swipe. Obviously, a brush is a better choice. I’m saying just for emergencies 😛

Here are the swatches of all the shades:

Blue Heaven diamond blush on ‘501’:. A purple pink with cool undertones.

502: A warm copper-golden highlighter. After the colour has faded, you are only left with shimmers on your cheeks. If you are into subtle eyeshadows, you can also use it that way.

Blue Heaven diamond blush on 503: The most pigmented shade out of the bunch and probably, the one that requires most efforts in blending it properly- a golden coral. It looks beautiful when used as an eyeshadow too.

504: A bubblegum pink which works for my skin tone but needs 2-3 layers for it to show properly. Skip it if you have a medium skin tone. If you want pigmented blushes without spending a bomb, consider checking out Make Up for Life 6 colours studio blush palette.

505: Oh! I like this more as an eyeshadow than a blush. This starts off well pigmented in the first layer itself. You can also build up the intensity. It has a lot of shimmers once blended. This shade has a very powdery consistency.

Blue Heaven diamond blush on 506: The most pigmented pink shade in the range. Consider it if you have medium-dark skin tone.

All of the shades pretty much have the same texture. They aren’t silky smooth but workable. You do need to put in efforts to blend them properly and evenly. Also, this is something I have noticed with every shade- they all fade in an uneven manner. But will you believe it if I tell you that these shades were visible on my super oily skin even after 5 hours? I told myself that I’m hallucinating 😛 Faded, yes. But still visible! Only Rs.125! Okay Heena! Calm down!

I needed two swipes to get an even finish with these blushes. When I layered more, I noticed the pigment building. So, yes. The pigmentation is buildable to a good extent. I’m not sure of how much the color will be visible on dark skin tone. You might want to get one and see for yourself. Please note that the shimmers don’t feel gritty at all.

If you want more staying power out of these blushes without the use of primer/fixing sprays, do this:

– Layer them over a lipstick in the same colour. Learn how to use lipstick as a blush here.

– Do this if you particularly have greasy skin like I do. Wear more than required because after an hour or so, the natural oils in your skin will cause the colour to tone down. It’ what I always do.

Summary:

Blue Heaven diamond blush on blushers are very much workable, last well decently and show on fair-medium skin after multiple swipes. However, I don’t see the point spending on them when you can get much better quality from Sivanna blush palettes . Yes, not at all bad if you are on a strict budget though.

Price: Rs.125 each, Bought on Amazon from HERE.

VCB rating: 4/5

Have you tried Blue Heaven diamond blush on? Did you like them?
