6 blushes, 1 highlighter and 1 bronzer for the price of Rs. 625!

in Blush, Face on 14/03/17

I have never owned a blush palette. So, when I saw this Sivanna colors ultra blush palette 03 on Amazon, I got pretty excited. It had all good reviews on the web which I considered as a sign to welcome it in my life. And boy! Am I glad I bought it!

Sivanna Colors Ultra Blush Palette 03 Review

Packaging: The palette comes in a see-through packaging with cute illustrations drawn on it. Honestly, I wasn’t expecting this given the price it comes at. So, it was a pleasant surprise. The ingredients list is mentioned at the back of the cover and I can’t read the rest of the text as I’m not familiar with the language. If anyone understands, please explain.

The actual blush palette has a transparent lid with the brand name mentioned on it. It closes properly every time I open it. The packaging feels very sturdy.

Texture: The texture of these blushes is soft but very powdery. You need to tap your brush before putting it directly on your cheeks. The two blushes with shimmer translate well on cheeks. However, the fifth shade does feel a little chalky and not as smooth as the others.

You need to be quick with blending as they are highly pigmented and can leave an unblended stain on your cheeks. Lastly, there’s no funny smell!

Pigmentation: All the shades in Sivanna colors ultra blush palette 03 are very pigmented! You need to be extra careful with them. Going straight from the pan to your face is a complete no! Place your brush lightly on it, tap on your hand to remove the excess color and then, go over your cheeks.

I was worried that they won’t blend properly because of how insanely pigmented they are, but they do with some extra efforts. Not as nicely as the other blushes I own, but they sit well.

Using a fan  brush is a good idea for pigmented blushes like these. There is a lesser chance of going overboard using it.

Longevity: They last amazingly well on my skin! Without a primer, the color lasted for around 6 hours with some fading. Even after this time period, it was still there. The bright ones stayed extra for an hour something. When I wore them with a primer and setting spray, the fading was even lesser. I found only blush no.2 and blush no.5 fading unevenly.

Shades: Sivanna colors ultra blush palette 03 is an 8-pan blush palette with a range of cool to warm shades in different finishes.

My friends’s arm you see here! 😀 I thought it would be helpful for people who have a dark skin tone to figure out whether or not it suits them. I think you should go for this palette in shade ’04’. Did you find this helpful?

1- A matte bright pink fuchsia

2- Warm medium matte pink which looks less pink on the camera

3- Matte coral

4- A cool toned, almost white frosty highlighter with gold flecks which looks ghastly on my warm complexion. A total miss!

5- A tangerine shade with shimmery gold flecks. You have to be mindful about the little fallout. Nothing major. And, the swatch of this one doesn’t do justice to it!

6- Peachy pink with gold flecks. The shimmer is lesser as compared to the 5th shade.

7- Cool tone pink in matte finish.

8- A matte light brown with warm undertones (not to contour). I use this with other blushes in the pan to add some depth but I don’t like it a lot. Useful nonetheless.

Summary:

Sivanna Colors Ultra Blush Palette 03 is definitely an affordable blush palette in India and makes it possible for you to own multiple blushes in one convenient palette, that too without breaking your bank. It’s an especially good option for you if you’re just starting with makeup or don’t use it frequently. Also, they stay for quite long. They do take extra effort to get blended properly but honestly, it doesn’t bother me much. For the price I paid, I got a very good deal. I seriously hope they do not increase the price anytime soon. Also, hope they introduce a new highlighter in this palette!

Next, I want to try this in shade ’01’ *_*
