My experience with L’oreal Mythic Oil Hair Masque:
I was previously using L’oreal Liss Ultimate Smoothing hair mask (Review HERE), which I finished two months ago. It lasted me for 6-7 months! I was so bored of using it, that I was praying for this to finish fast. And, then I brought this gorgeous looking hair masque! The packaging is so pretty!
L’oreal Mythic oil hair masque comes in a big tub packaging with a golden cap that closes every time properly. I so wish there came smaller tubs for travel purpose, trying purpose and also because since these masks last so long till one gets bored of them. This hair mask is very thick in consistency and I only need a little every time to cover my scalp and hair strands. It spreads easily but takes a little more than 5 minutes to get out rinsed completely.
I have very dry, frizzy hair with a very oily scalp. It makes my hair very soft, less frizzy and much more manageable. I had serious apprehensions about it weighing my hair down due to its thick texture but it didn’t. I can’t comment on if being a mask, it makes my scalp more oily or oily fast because with the dripping temperature, anything would make my scalp behave that way. Sadly, it doesn’t impart any shine to my hair.
Comparing this to L’oreal Liss Ultimate Smoothing hair masque, I find this hair mask no better. In fact, I found my previous L’oreal hair masque much better. It costs less, did the same for my hair and didn’t even make my scalp oily (not sure if this one does). I think this mythic oil hair masque is best suited for people with thick and coarse hair.
How I use it: I shampoo my hair and squeeze the excess water. The more effectively you squeeze the excess water, the more effective your conditioner or hair mask would be. I then take two little scoops out of it and cover my hair strands and scalp. I gently massage for a minute or so and then, leave it on for 5 minutes. After that, I rinse it properly which takes another 5 minutes.

I generally avoid using masque on scalp. Use it only on length

Masques Are Supposed To Be Applied on Scalp Too For Deeper Penetration.. Scalp Should Be Skipped While Using Conditioner.. But I Too Skip Scalp Part When I'm in a Hurry or Don't Need Many Chemicals For My Hair
Thanku Shikha!:)

I have used Tresemme's hair mask. It was good and I too squeeze out the excess water which could otherwise dilute the mask and decreases the efficiency or leads to wastage as the mask will get dripped off along with water. 🙂
