Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch Highlighting Concealer Review and Swatch

in Concealer and Corrector, Face, Makeup on 07/08/13

This is my second tube of this concealer. I find it really good for summers!
Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch Highlighting Concealer comes in a pen form. You need to twist up the bottom cap like a lipstick and the concealer comes out of the fan brush.
For the first time, I twisted it 87 times (Yes, I was counting!). After that, I need to twist it 4-5 times to let the concealer come out.

The consistency of the concealer is light and creamy. I use a different brush to blend the concealer on my under eye area. I need two clicks to cover both my eyes (upper and lower) and blends nicely.
I find it really good for summers since it dries to a dry finish (not stubborn matte finish). I have oily under eye area, so it’s quite good for that. The coverage is medium. Although those who have a lot of eye pigmentation, will need a corrector before using this. The effect is naturaland I also pat on transparent powder on top of it. The effect stays for a good 6-7 hours with minimal fading. Although, the creasing can be seen!
I choose the shade “Honey“. Honey has got quite yellow undertones and looks quite good on my skin tone. The other two shades were quite light and had too much of pink undertones! Shade selection is very bad!
And, the main part is that there’s no luminous finish with this. Sigh!
In winters, I make sure to pat on under eye cream before I use this.

Meghz, It Can Be Used on Acne Marks Since It Doesn't Highlights/Illumnates.. But You Know my Super Sensitive Skin na.. S

So, I just Use it on my eye area and on center of nose

Colorbar Concealer Requires a Lot Of Blending Time on My problematic Skin.. So, I Mostly Don't Use It :-s

    Beyu Concealer? Review Please! 😀

I am gonna join the club here and say I have been eyeing this for long 😛 No, seriously I was. But was confused about the color selection as it was OOS at the store so I didn't get a chance to match the shade in person. You solved my dilemma Heena. Honey, it is 🙂

You Are The 5th Person To Say That! 😛

    OOS means Out of Stock?

    Lol Twisted 87 times! 🙂
It's good to see that the shade Honey has yellow tones so that it can match our skin tone better while hiding circles and doesn't look ashy!!

For red acne scars like mine, I first use a green concealer to neutralize redness n then a regular concealer.. but only on full makeup days!

I would Go with BB Cream!:)
