If there’s one company in India, that comes equal to Maybelline in terms of good quality and affordable makeup, it’s Avon.
I have already used Avon simple pretty foundation and quite liked it. So, I thought of trying this out too.
Avon simple pretty pressed powder comes in a pretty and neat packaging. There was a transparent paper sheet in between the puff and the powder. It also comes with a mirror attached.
– The texture of the powder is really soft but a little dry and glides well.
– The medium shade goes very well for my fair skin. It has got quite yellow undertones.
– The finish is a complete matte.
– It comes with SPF 15 though it’s quite low.
– The coverage is low-medium because of the puff, but it still succeeds in giving a presentable look to my blemished face.
– In this hot and humid weather; I wouldn’t say it keeps my skin completely oil free for 3-4 hours but yes, the oiliness is a lot less and I don’t feel the need to blot. It also saves my skin from getting dark due to the oiliness and sweat but only for a few hours.
This pressed powder would work only for oily-combination skinned beauties. For dry skinned people, it would only emphasize the dryness more since the texture is a little dry.
Although it’s non-comdogenic, non-acnegenic, dermatologically tested and clinically tested too, it broke me out. Why? Because it contains tea tree and tea tree ingredient doesn’t suits me.
And, I can’t believe that I didn’t read this ingredient until I clicked these pictures and was wondering from 5 days why I was breaking out! But also, Avon should either come out with products packed in boxes with ingredients listed on them or they should be written at the back of the product. A major point deduction for this.
Leaving the ingredient part, it’s quite a good and affordable option for oily skin beauties.
