Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain “Honey/Douce” Review and Swatch

in Lips, Lipstick, Makeup on 28/02/13

Hey Everyone!
“Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains” are the newest launch in the Indian makeup market. I was in no mood to purchase them. Why? They took more than 10 days to launch in shopping malls located in places like Rohini, Rajouri Garden, Ranibagh, etc. They were launched earliest at malls which are far away from where I live. This is not done! I had enquired like 2-3 times my side and all I knew was they were still to come. But since I got a call telling these had been launched my side, I changed my mind and went to get these. And, even then, 3 shades were missing 😐
Anyhoo, I didn’t like the colours much There were so many from “Pink family”. I already have quite a few brights and was looking for some soft shades. I found “Honey” catering to my needs.
–            Revlon kissable balm stain “Honey/Douce” is a dusty pink on my lips. It doesn’t contains any shimmer
–            The pigmentation can be build from sheer to medium. On my lips, it looks like a lipstick only.
–            The texture is very creamy and moisturizing. Girls having dry lips will like this a lot.
–      The smell exactly like “Polo”, minty in taste. Though the taste goes away in a minute or so.
–            The finish is a soft glossy colour on lips.
–            It survived a meal and drink, and still stayed put. It stays for around 4 hours on me.
–            Now, the wearing part is really weird on me. If I don’t eat anything in between, it leaves a reddish pink stain on my lips (see picture) and if I eat in between, it wears off unevenly. So, the way it wears down (both ways) is a thumbs down for me.
–            I have non-dry lips and when it wears down, the lips get a little dry. I just have to apply my balm then.
–            It doesn’t emphasizes lip lines.
–            The packaging is cute and very much travel friendly.
–            No product wastage, since it’s a rotating mechanism lip stain.

I liked the texture and the shade, but how it wears down, is a turn off for me. I won’t be repurchasing this. Though if you have dry lips and it’s hard finding very moisturizing lipsticks/lip balms, you should certainly check this out.
