I had been meaning to draft this post for a long time but couldn’t muster the energy to. Finally pulled myself (and a pack of chips) at night to start writing.

I got braces some eight months back and had them removed a while ago.
I stopped applying eye and lip makeup six-seven months back. And now I’m slowly getting back to all that. I know I’m making progress because I applied black eyeliner a few days back and I actually liked it. It didn’t look harsh.

I am proud to say that I have been a very good girl at controlling my beauty purchases. I’m not extremely tempted but I think I miss the feel of buying beauty products in bulk..Habits..Old Habits..

Though I did give in for the first time in 2019 after six months at Kiko Milano store when they were offering ‘Buy 2, Get 2’.
Otherwise, however, I haven’t been very good at controlling my urge for shopping. Mainly because I’m indulging in emotional shopping. But I have come a long, long way in not buying stuff just for the sake of it.

There’s been a lot going on lately and quite a lot of it, bad. There’s no point in pretending life is always perfect. We all go through rough times. I wish I could talk about them but they are highly personal. Something which happened with me a year back shook me to the core. I am still trying to process it and wonder if I will ever fully get my head around it. Absolutely heartbreaking.
I am extremely grateful for where I am in life right now and have faith that all the painful process I’m going through I never thought I did go through..will only take me to places I never thought I would go to.
In my next post, I will share with you all the beauty purchases I have done so far this year.
