Kiko milano unlimited stylo lipstick 05: review, swatches

Today, I’m reviewing a long-wearing lipstick from a brand I shopped like crazy a few weeks back and which is why you’re seeing frequent reviews of it 😛

Product description:

Long-lasting creamy lipstick. Highly pigmented colour with a semi-matte finish meets long-wearing, cutting-edge ingredients. The result is long-lasting make-up. The formula contains monoi oil and passion fruit extract. The lipstick clings to the lips, leaving a uniform coat of colour and a precisely outlined lip contour. The soft, creamy texture is highly blendable. The easy-to-apply product feels wonderful. The colour is revealed instantly and is buildable. The tube’s special design keeps the lipstick’s ingredients fresh and performing at their best over time. The modern aluminum tube is elegant and stands out thanks to the KK monogram on the cap. Available in 21 shades: from those that create a natural look to striking, full lips. The colour notch on the outside of the tube indicates the shade contained inside. Dermatologically tested.

My experience with Kiko milano unlimited stylo lipstick 05:

Kiko milano unlimited stylo lipstick 05 has a steel grey coloured body with a metallic golden button on the center. I always get a click sound once I close it. The shade is indicated on the cap to make it easy for identification purpose in case you own more than one shade. The brand name is mentioned on the tube. The brand logo isn’t engraved on the bullet though.

The lipstick goes on very smooth on the lips. Initially, the texture is creamy but within a minute, it sets to a pure matte finish. I tried rubbing the shade with my finger but it did not move. Yes, it sets to a budge-proof finish. Pretty much.

It feels light-weight and covers my lips completely. I only needed one swipe. Even if you go on with two coats, it will not turn patchy. As with the other lipsticks, Kiko milano unlimited stylo lipstick 05 too has a vanilla scent. It also works brilliantly as a blush. Just blend fast before it sets.

About the longevity, it’s quite long-lasting once it sets, wearing an average of 6 hours before it begins to fade from the center of lips. When I had drinks on with it, I saw no transfer. It’s only when I started having greasy food, that I saw the fading happen. However, unlike liquid lipsticks, the touch-up part isn’t difficult.

Also, I didn’t find it very drying throughout the time I was wearing it. But if you have dry lips or a lot of lip lines, I suggest you try a finish that’s more comfortable and doesn’t emphasize them.

And yes! While you don’t need exfoliated lips to wear it every time, moisturized lips are a must.

Summary:

If I had to sum up the texture and longevity of the lipstick in two words, I did say ‘liquid lipstick’. But only better. It doesn’t crumble, lets me smile even after 3-4 hours and isn’t difficult to re-touch.
