Hello all!
Today, I’m reviewing a lip scrub from a brand called ‘Seer Serets’. Before this, I was using a mixture of crushed raw sugar and coconut oil. It was working well for me until I started falling ill frequently two months back and my lips got super dry and flaky.

The lip scrub comes in a convenient little tub with a screw-on cap. You can find the full ingredients list at the back of it.
Be careful while opening it as the formula can fall in crumbs and lumps. I was lucky mine fell on paper. So, I put it back in the container. As you can see in the picture below, the sugary formula isn’t greasy and has no liquidy base to adhere to. This also means that using it can be a bit of a messy affair. Since a little goes a long way, I’m sure this will last me a long time.
I started using it when my lips were very dry and flakey (around a time I was continuously getting ill). After using it three times, my dry lips were back in shape. There were still some flaky bits but it had improved the condition of my desert like lips in just a week. Also, it leaves no oily film behind.

You know those matte lipsticks that emphasize any dry spots on your lips? That’s when I use this lip scrub the most. The finish is flawless! 😀
If you find most lip scrubs to be harsh, try this one. It’s quite gentle and does the job amazingly well. I dip clean fingers in it and scrub for a minute before rinsing off with water/wiping off with a wet tissue. Then, I follow up with a lip balm.
Summary:
Seer Secrets rambutan, dates & liquorice lip scrub is a non-abrasive lip scrub but with a slightly messy formula. When used twice a week and followed up with a lip balm, it removes the flaky bits and leaves lips very soft. Although I do find the quantity to be less.
