Today, I’m reviewing a primer I have a love-hate relationship with.
Product description:

My experience with Hylamide HA Blur primer:
Hylamide HA Blur primer comes in a white and pink box packaging with the necessary details mentioned on it like ingredients list, description, how to use, etc. The actual product also comes in the same colour family with a flip-flop cap.
The primer has a thick consistency. Consistency-wise, this is the thickest primer I have ever used. It also has a strong chemical smell which I don’t like. Thankfully, it doesn’t last for long. It has a very soft formula which when applied instantly blurs out imperfections. This is THE BEST primer I’ve ever used to blur my pores. Not just this. I even used it on days when I had dry patches in winters and it helped create an even texture so that my foundation went on beautifully. Yes, I did wear a moisturizer beneath it.
It does dry to a matte finish but it’s not drying. I wouldn’t call it hydrating either. Also, I could feel something sitting on my skin. Not very light-weight. I started using it in winters and enjoyed wearing it. Not continuously though as my skin is more thankful that way.

When I started using it in summers though, I didn’t like it much. The reason being it does nothing to extend the staying power of my makeup. In fact, it makes my oily skin oilier. Such a pity considering how well it dials down the size of my pores.
So, now I have stored this primer at the back of my closet and will take it out once the weather is cool. Come back winters! Please come back!
Summary:
Hylamide HA blur primer does an amazing job at reducing pore size and smoothening the skin to help foundation glide on well without adhering to dry patches. But I don’t use it in summer as I find it quite heavy and it makes my oily skin oilier.
