Make Up for Life 6 colors studio blush palette: Review, swatches
Hello all!
This palette was on my wish list for very long. So, when the price dropped down, I finally purchased it. When I opened the palette after receiving it, I was so happy to see the shades. The reason being they will go beautifully on dark skin tones. A friend of mine who has a similar skin tone usually applies lipsticks as blushes. Learn here how to use a lipstick as a blush. She only has two blushes from MAC as she can’t afford more. I tested this palette on her skin tone. She liked it so much (with the exception of one shade) that she went ahead and purchased one for herself too.

My experience with Make Up for Life 6 colors studio blush palette:
The cover design of Make Up for Life 6 colors studio blush palette is basic. It is housed in a simple black cardboard compact. The lid has a large clear opening and a magnetic closure too. The ingredients list is mentioned at the back of the palette.
The inside part is made out of a plastic covered foam which is difficult to keep clean. The reason being the excess powder from the blushes always ends up here creating a bit of a mess. It’s not a major flaw but since I’m particular about such things, I decided to mention it here too.
Sadly, I couldn’t find anything about the brand online.
The palette contains 5 shades with tiny shimmers and one pure matte blush. The shimmers help create a very subtle glow on the cheeks without calling attention to pores or uneven skin texture. Needless to say, I was pleasantly surprised. All the blushes have a soft texture but do kick up excess powder in the pan. All of them apply evenly onto the cheeks and blend seamlessly. It is best to start with a light hand as they are very pigmented and gradually build up the intensity. I have used a very light hand in the swatches as well to show that the colours are very much usable on fair skin tone too. You can mix and match the shades as well according to your taste.
Most of the shades last for 5-7 hours on my oily skin with some minor fading. The bright ones also fade evenly.
Summary:
Overall, I think Make Up for Life 6 colors studio blush palette is an amazing blush palette option for those with a dark skin tone. I don’t have any complaints though I wish the finish was more matte. Nevertheless, the texture of these blushes is silky and create a very soft focus on my face due to the tiny shimmers.
If you’re on a strict budget, you can also try Sivanna ultra color blush palette 02. It comes in 3 more shades and I have reviewed all on my blog. Just go to the blush category in face section or simply use the search bar.
Price: Rs.1,850. I got it at a discounted price of Rs.1,280 on Amazon from HERE. The brand has another color variant in this.
