L’oreal Paris infallible sexy balm 110, Cant sit with us: Review, Swatches

This happened around two months back. I, along with my family, was seated around a table at a family function.

Soon, we were joined by some girls- one of whom wore a beautiful coral pink lipstick in a pure matte finish. It matched perfectly with her emerald green top and gold chandler earrings. Then, I got busy eating with my nose stuck in my phone.

As I was about to stand up and refill my plate, I happened to glance at her and froze. She was eating Pao bhaji and also her lipstick, literally! The pieces of her crumpled liquid matte lipstick were getting on every bite she ate gleefully and her lips looked like ‘Sahara desert with some dried and torn coral coloured flowers sitting on top’.

I was in a dilemma. Should I tell her? What if she shoos me away and tells me that’s how “24 hours lipsticks that promise to stay forever” work? What if she tells me that she got tricked by the makeup SA and bought it for Rs.1000? What if she starts crying? What if she decides to leave her Pao bhaji in the middle and runs to the washroom to go for another touch up? Worst! What if she decides to not eat anything for the rest of the evening?!!

Nope, can’t afford any of it. Decided to keep a *maun vrat* and follow ‘MYOB’ philosophy.

Just as I was about to get up from the table, her friend spoke!

Her friend: Hey! Something’s wrong with your lipstick. Just check it once.

*She takes out a compact from her purse and looks.*

She: What? It’s ok!

Her friend: Okay, it just looks weird. Isn’t this the same lipstick you bought with me on the weekend shopping trip thinking it stays for a day? *With a puzzled look*

She: Yes! Of course! And look! A lot of colour is still left on the edges of my lips. *Circling the edges of her lips with her finger*

Her friend: Yeah.. but it looks really bad.

She: Babez! You know nothing! *Rolls her eyes*

Her friend: *Stares at her like she’s a lunatic*

She: Should we get another helping? This Pao bhaji is really yum!

Her friend: Yeah! Let’s go!

She: Just give me 5 minutes.

Her friend: What happened?

She: Need to retouch up my lipstick. *Runs*

Her friend: Nhasksk udidhdq pojjsz *Gives an unreadable expression*

I finally decide to stop pretending like I’m doing something on my phone and move away from the table before I burst out laughing like a maniac.

Also, legend has it that friend is still waiting for her at the table. Table no.24!

L’oreal Paris infallible sexy balm comes in a crayon shaped packaging with a glossy black body and a semi-sheer cap. I noticed that the sheer variants in it have a semi-sheer cap while the full coverage ones have an opaque cap. Interesting! The crayon has a retractable mechanism, thank you L’oreal! The shade name is mentioned at the bottom.

It applies smoothly and evenly even for a sheer lip colour. It’s super comfortable on the lips and doesn’t dry them out, even after repeated touch-ups. The creamy texture smoothes over fine lines without settling into them. As for the finish, it has a glossy sheen to it. Sometimes, I like to blot it with a tissue to tone down the shine.

 L’oreal Paris infallible sexy balm 110, Cant sit with us is a beautiful red pink which can also help you sport the “stained look” by simply spreading some colour on your lips with the help of your finger.

If you have pigmented lips, you might want to try it at the counter first as it’s sheer (not much pigmentation).

Given the melting formula, it’s not surprising that it doesn’t stay for long. Just with drinking, a lot of color is still left on the lips (Two coats for me with a blotted lip beneath). However, it will not last beyond a meal. No worries!

Summary:

I absolutely adore L’oreal Paris infallible sexy balm 110, Cant sit with us. The gorgeous shade coupled with the hydrating texture and beautiful finish makes me want to reach for it often. I don’t mind the low staying power as it’s understandable given the texture. Plus, it’s so easy to touchup! Sexy!  I’m happy that the other aspects makeup for it, especially the price.

I’m definitely getting more shades! My mom’s gonna be ecstatic!
