Sometimes, when I accompany mom for vegetable shopping, I notice how the process is incomplete without people asking for mirch and dhaniya. I used to have the same thoughts when I would buy a lot of beauty stuff from a shop/mall. But the thing with most makeup freebies in India is that you either get expired stuff or poor options to choose from. I always felt a bit cheated.
Recently, I came across these ADS super stay fashion lipsticks on Amazon. After using them, I definitely knew that the makeup Gods were smiling upon me as I finally got my extra dhaniya and mirch.
How much do these lipsticks cost?
These 6 lipsticks cost just Rs. 350! When I saw the price tag for these pretty looking lipsticks, it was like someone cast the “Petrificus Totalus” curse on me.
Do they come with a freebie?
Yes! They come with a kajal. Since I don’t use one, I gave it to my helper and she’s pretty happy with it.
Me: Jo kajal diya tha, woh use kara?
Her: Haan. Wahi lagaya hua hai abhi.
Me: Kaisa laga?
Her: Achha hai.
*Looks at her eyes and sees it’s quite dark. Good*
What about the packaging?
The lipsticks come in a pwetty-pwetty color-coded packaging. The shade number is mentioned at the bottom of the lipstick and the twist mechanism works properly. The cap shuts down properly every time. I carried one lipstick 3-4 times in my handbag and there wasn’t any case of melting. I just wish they weren’t that long- not a serious problem though.
Do I like using them?

In fact, more than I expected.
Let me begin with the best part. Most inexpensive lipsticks have a funny smell. Hello CAL Los Angeles pure color lipsticks! These ADS super stay fashion lipsticks don’t! They have a very faint smell which is hard for me to describe but it goes away within some seconds.
Coming to the texture, they don’t go on real smooth. I have to apply some pressure lightly and was afraid that the bullet might break but nothing of that sort happened. I went with 2-3 swipes and as you can see in the swatches, they offer more than medium coverage. The finish didn’t look patchy except for one- Shade 49 which is a nude coral shade. It looks better off camera. With the close up shot of shade 72, you can see that it looks a bit uneven. But that’s all!
I like all the shades. The shades ’49’ and ’47’ stay for 2-3 hours depending on what you drink and eat. The other shades leave a strong stain after you have eaten thereby giving a wear time of 5-6 hours.
Also, they don’t feel very light-weight and can emphasize dryness on lips but for the price they come at, I’m not complaining.

Will I buy more shades?
If I see everyday lipstick shades, I will.
