Weekend catch up through Instagram

If you have been reading my blog from the start, I’m sure you would have noticed the “personal touch” missing from many of my blog posts now. Previously, I used to blabber in my posts too and not just talk about the product in it. But since the last year or so, managing a blog with a full time job has become even difficult. I’m not sure if “managing” is the right word because it’s not a burden or a forced kind of thing for me. I freaking love writing, clicking pictures of beauty products and sharing my thoughts on them with you all. I LOVE IT! 

However, I need a lot of time to sit down and gather my thoughts on what small things from my life I want to write and talk about with you. And I lack that currently as the other blogging tasks too consume a lot of my energy. That’s why I keep posting tid bits from my life via Instagram images and stories as and when I can. I love chatting whenever I get any response on my Instagram story. To inject that “personal touch” again, I’m thinking of doing this kind of post on a weekly basis. Hope you like the images and hopefully, also find some useful makeup and beauty tips.

Colorbar matte touch lipstick Fairytale: You know how there are some lipsticks that you never get tired of wearing. This is one of those for me.

If you go crazy with the corrector, you will have to go crazy with the concealer too! Crazy amount of concealer= High maintenance look High maintenance look = Prepping the under-eye area properly (Ask yourself if you have that much time everyday) + Blending like a maniac (Again, do you have time?) + Setting it with loadza powder (Are you okay with that heavy look for daily wear? Can you maintain it throughout the day?) In real life, you don't have any filter and good lighting always.

Given the introvert person I am, I’m much more comfortable interacting on social media than in real life. Because that means I can disconnect anytime I want to without burdening myself and not because I’m shy. I feel exhausted for days if I have to be a part of a social gathering for more than 20 minutes (MAX!). That doesn’t mean I hate outings. I hang out with my close friends and family- but not just for the sake of it.

Who else loves neutral lip colors?

A setting spray like MAC Fix plus is used to bind all the makeup layers and take off the powdery residue. It does not form any beading and is particularly useful when you're wearing layers of matte makeup. It contains water, glycerin and oil in its top ingredients list. It usually has little to no alcohol. Do not expect it to extend the staying power of your makeup, especially if you have an oily skin. A fixing spray is used to prolong the staying power of your makeup. It's supposed to be applied after a setting spray or alone. The main ingredient here is alcohol. I suggest you to not go by names but instead by the ingredients list. Example: Urban Decay all nighter setting spray is actually a fixing spray. Go and have a look at its ingredients list.
