Deborah Milano Fluid Velvet Matte Lipstick 01 Mat: Review, Swatches

I don’t know what it is about macaroons but I don’t like them. After having a consistently bad experience with them, I pledged that I will not be eating them at least for the new few months. One day, as I was getting a brownie packed from a bakery, I happened to spot a pink-colored macaroon with the most delectable design. I was so enticed by looking at it that I forgot I didn’t like it and paid quite a price for it. It’s only when I reached home that I realized what I have done. Hey! My name is Heena. I easily get over-excited and tend to forget the reality in that moment.

This is exactly what happened with me when I purchased “Deborah Milano Fluid Velvet Matte Lipstick 01 Mat”. I hate liquid lipsticks but as the SA swatched the shade on my hand, I forgot everything else and bought it. Now, I’m using it as a lip base for other colours. However, I decided to test it out alone a few times hoping you guys could benefit from the review.

The micronized pigments make it possible to obtain a pure color, intense and homogeneous, the mix of oils leaves your lips hydrated, soft and smooth. Paraben. Hypoallergenic.

My experience with Deborah Milano Fluid Velvet Matte Lipstick 01 Mat:

The lipstick comes in a transparent lipgloss like packaging with a doe-foot applicator. The shade number is mentioned at the bottom of it. It does have a slightly mousse-like consistency in the beginning but once it sets, it dries to a ultra matte finish. And it sets quickly. I have also noticed that once it dries, the shades goes one touch deeper. The shade is perfect for office wear. This may vary from person to person. I don’t have dry lips in general and didn’t find it to be drying.

As far as drinks are concerned, it’s fairly long-lasting as it hardly transfers. However, once I start eating, it’s a different story. After having my meal, it looks like I have lined my lips. Not to forget, my lips look like Sahara desert. An immediate need for a touch-up is required with it.

I’m not rating Deborah Milano Fluid Velvet Matte Lipstick 01 Mat simply because what I feel personally about liquid lipsticks might interfere with it. Honestly, I was counting on it a bit to change my mind about them. But.. oh well!
