Hola ola! The craze for Colourpop lippie stix in India (especially) started way back before I can remember. I wasn’t bitten by the obsession, not until Colourpop announced free international shipping. It’s only then that I got tempted and spent approx. 4 days on finding shades in Colourpop lippie stix for Indian skin tone. I posted my haul on Instagram HERE. Today, I’ll be reviewing and swatching Colourpop lippie stix on in 4 shades that are everyday lipsticks.
Starting with the packaging, I love it! The brand has definitely paid attention to even little detail- white cardboard box with necessary details mentioned on it, colored on the inside and with the brand name done in hologram design. The actual lippie stix is white in color with the shade name mentioned below. It has a sleek design and twisted mechanism to avoid product wastage. Wow!
As for the smell, it’s quite faint and I don’t find it to be bothersome.
Parker (matte)– It’s not heavy but also not the most light-weight one among the other two finishes i.e. satin and creme. I guess it’s because it’s thicker in texture as compared to them. It glides on smoothly, evenly and covers the natural color of my lips in one go only. Although I always find going for a second swipe to get an even coverage. It doesn’t emphasize lip lines immediately but does so after 2 hours or something. It lasted quite well for me – around 4 hours. I definitely needed to do a touch-up then. However, the fading is quite faint and doesn’t give that awful lip-liner effect.
Colourpop lippie stix ‘Parker’ is my most favourite shade out of the bunch. It’s this beautiful medium toned warm brown with a hint of rosy undertones. A perfect Colourpop lippie stix shade for Indian skin.
The only aspect I don’t like about it is that it’s satin in finish and not matte.

Brink (matte): This one is a matte with a little sheen. But it goes after some time. It has a moderately creamy texture and the formula doesn’t feel drying in the slightest at least for the initial 2 hours. The pigmentation is incredible as it offers a full coverage even for pigmented lips. It does tend to emphasize lip lines with the passage of time owing to its nature but it doesn’t turn patchy. It lasts on me for 5 hours.
Colorpop lippie stix ‘Brink’ is another pretty everyday lipstick perfect for your grocery trips or work place. This is the best Colourpop lippie stix for medium skin out of the bunch.

Button (satin): Personally, I didn’t find a big difference between the finish satin formula and matte formula initially. It’s only when the 2 hour mark passed that I began to notice the change in the finishes. Texture-wise, it feels almost like the matte ones and has the same wear-time. Since this is a very light shade, the fading is a lot noticeable. I have to make way for an immediate touch-up after having a full meal with it on.
Colourpop lippie stix ‘Button’ shade is right on the brink edge of suiting my skin tone but if I go even a shade darker, it will look pale on me. I reached for this shade 2-3 times in winters when I wanted only eye makeup to be the focus of my look. If you’re after a Colourpop lippie stix for Indian skin, this shade can be easily skipped.

Drop top (creme): Colorpop lippie stix ‘Drop top’ looks horrible on my warm skin tone, almost a pale peachy *ude lip color. That said, the texture is very hydrating, glides like butter on lips and the bullet even has a tendency of becoming a melted butter in summers. I’m saying this because mine keeps on breaking even with the slightest pressure.
So, be extra careful when applying it. It doesn’t last as long as the matte/satin ones.

Verdict for Colourpop lippie stix:
Coming at $5 each (free shipping to India on 50$ shopping), Colourpop lippie stix are pretty good. However, I don’t get the hype around them. It’s mainly because the matte finish ones are not matte. I’m not implying that they’re bad or even average quality lippie stix. But there are so many Indian drugstore lipsticks coming to my mind right now which I did favour more than them. Is it because of the wide range of shades available? Which of course is amazing! It’s hard to find this range of neutral lip colors in India without breaking your bank. But I for one don’t feel too excited wearing them.
What are your thoughts on Colourpop lippie stix range? Have you tried anything from Colourpop? How’s your experience been?

Hey Divya,
There were’t any. I was shocked. But then I live in Delhi.
I have heard that custom charges are a lot higher in Mumbai.

Hey,
I placed an order directly on Colourpop’s website after they announced free international shipping on 50$. Currently, they’re offering free worldwide shipping without any amount restriction. So, you might want to hurry 😛
I received my order after 3 weeks and luckily, didn’t have to pay any custom charges. But if you live in Mumbai, things might be different because that city is known to attract a lot of customs. As for shipoutfromusa, I haven’t used it and therefore, can’t say for it.
I actually wrote about my experience here in the 1st para> http://www.vanitycasebox.com/2017/04/colourpop-creme-gel-liners-review-swatches.html
Hope this helps. Let me know if you have any more doubts.

Also, 2 mini satin lips FREE on order above $30.
