If you have a combination skin type, you will know how so many products that claim to be balancing never seem to do that. Most of them are either too moisturizing or too drying. No wonder, shopping for this skin type is tricky. I have been into ‘Kaya purifying range’ since 3 years as it works brilliantly for my skin type. It’s only 6-7 months back that I started using Innisfree products and luckily, with good results. They are not a miser at all when it comes to giving samples with purchases (Sephora! Ahem!). Also, their samples are too good when it comes to quantity.

It has been a hit and miss affair trying products from this brand. Today, I’ll be reviewing just the Innisfree Green tea balancing cream which is one of the best face creams for combination skin.

My experience with Innisfree Green Tea Balancing cream:

The cream comes in a green plastic jar and has a screw-on lid. There’s a sticker at the bottom which when peeled gives the ingredients list.

For a cream based product, it has a non-oily feel and doesn’t feel heavy in the cold weather. It gets absorbed into the skin completely with a few pats and leaves it moisturized just right. My best way of using it is with green tea mineral mist. The facial mist helps in absorbing the cream better. You can use one from any brand. Or just mix 2 drops of water in your moisturizer to make it work better.

This is my 2nd jar. So, I hope you can make out how well it has been working for my acne-prone and combination skin type. It even helped me deal with the dry patches on my cheeks and sides of my nose. Make-up behaves in a much better manner. Also, it has a very pleasant and light smell.

That said, I’m afraid to say that it might not work for me when the warm weather arrives. It contains ‘Cocoa seed butter’ as one of its ingredients which is a rich ingredient. Chances of it behaving well on my sensitive, acne prone skin seem less in summer. During that weather, I was using Innisfree green tea balancing lotion which did a pretty good job.

From what it seems, this should be a total hit or miss for you.
