After joining office, I realized how my priorities in makeup have changed. Although I still buy lipsticks as groceries and experiment with face base products, I spend less money on blushes and eye shadows. I have the basic plus more than basic shades I require in them. Also, I do not get much time to use them. Looking back at my reviews also made me realize that cheek makeup products have not been reviewed in a long time and so, here I am with one!
What MUA says:
Part of our amazing £1 line, our blushers come in six shades. They range from pink and coral to deeper plums and natural nudes so you’ll definitely find one that suits you the most! Although to be honest with you, at £1 there’s no reason why you shouldn’t own all six! Just simply sweep across the apples of the cheek and up to the brow bone to create a soft yet beautiful contour. Gorge!
My experience:
These tiny looking blushes come in a black casing with a transparent plastic lid. The packaging isn’t quite sturdy which means you must take extra care. The ingredients list is mentioned at the back.
Both of them have an average texture (neither soft nor hard, in between) due to which they do become a bit powdery. They blend well but take a little more than the usual effort. There’s hardly any fall out issue with them. Shade 5 is a coral peachy shade with subtle golden shimmers. The shimmers are not gritty. Plus the glow it gives is gorgeous. I have a lot of open pores and the shimmers emphasize them in the least bit manner. I won’t say they don’t show my pores a bit more at all because shimmers do. Shade 1 is a cool toned light pink shade. I would recommend this shade only for light skin tones.
While Shade 5 is rich in pigmentation, shade 1 has a buildable pigmentation. It starts off as sheer but with 2-3 swipes, it is okay. This means that it is pretty good for beginners so that they do not go overboard with it (for me too!). Staying power wise, they lasted on my super oily skin with a primer underneath for around 4 hours after which I could see a major fading. Gladly, the shimmers did not sit onto the pores or turned patchy.
Shortcomings aside, for the price they come at; these are definitely worth a try!
