I have a friend whose recent check up reports declared that she’s having Vitamin D deficiency. At least for the two of us, the reason was very clear. She uses sunscreen excessively, even if it’s 6 in the morning.
Sunscreen, for sure, is very important and I too use it religiously. It protects from the harmful rays of sun, prevents skin cancer and slows down the aging process. But then taking care of the fact that I should be getting enough Vitamin D is also very important for my health.
Companies these days are making “hoopla” out of sunscreens and selling sunscreens with so high SPFs. It’s been shown like being under the sun is a kind of disease! Seriously! I still know so many faces who haven’t used a sunscreen all their life and still look younger than their age. Now, I’m not against using sunscreen but again, “everything in excess is bad.”
So, How do you get enough of Vitamin D?
Well, I go for morning walks without sunscreen. Even being10 minutes under the sun in morning are beneficial. You can have food that contain Vitamin D like mushrooms, milk, orange juice..
